7-4 Were home!!!
We were going to make it 2 days from Chattanooga but it was easy and fast we didnt take any major highways the entire 1450 miles. We left with the intentions to stop for the night in Bowling Green but we got there so quick and easy we figured why bother.
So we buzzed home I was fine my k1600 worked great so soreness except in a shoulder but thats from a previous bike wreck.
Will give my breakdown later but here are the photos for the day

Look at the tire tracks on the road what happened there? I'm sure glad I wasn't going the other way.

A bit of rain on the final day only a sprinkle.

 Bridge coming into Indiana.
James with his Jacket on if I looked that good with my coat on I would never take it off. Looks cool.
Will put more later but wanted everyone to know if you ever to get to spend a week with your son doing something you both love to do please don't let anything stop you from doing it. This was one of my top weeks ever. Thanks

7-3 Bigger day today 240 miles and 1050 total so far.
We started off by going to BMW of Asheville then went to M R Motorcycles the BMW dealer was great, clean, modern and many bikes. The M R Motorcycles wow what a disappointment 1st of all 3 salesman were sitting talking and didn't even say boo to us. We were there looking at boots for James but no one came over we had to go to the parts dept and have someone paged and they never came so we left such a shame such a huge place and no one wanted to help. No sale there.
We were about 30 miles from Murphy and it started pouring down rain (our first) for the trip but on with the Toggs and no problem, it cooled down to a unreal 70 deg also the coolest of the trip but it stopped raining 5 minutes later and by the time we got to Murphy it was 101 now we are talking a 31 deg difference in 20 minutes time that's just stupid.
So next stop was Murphy NC for lunch at a Rib Place it was pretty good I didn't know that there county was dry. Now i'm not a big drinker and never drink while riding but a dry county really? Who would live there? The funny thing that James and I thought of was is there more or less drinking and driving as everyone that wants to go to a bar needs to drive out of county to go so they get drunk and drive anyway just a thought. Then we rode on to Chattanooga  Tn on the way we drove along the Ocoee river and multiple lakes. It was senic but I only took about 75 photos today. Allot of mountains and river it was nice but being the 3rd of July it was really busy traffic and it was really hot and humid so not a big patence day today for me. By the time we got to Chattanooga we were toast!!! I think my arms are about as dark as they can be lots of sun and lots of heat... We are working our way back and should be home sometime Thursday a couple days earier than planned but with the heat its tough. But still awsome. James and I have already been talking about next years trip. Grand Caynon? or maybe the Rockies? I was thinking Canada in the summer. Will see. Here are the highlite photos for today.

Thanks for following. Will post more tomorrow.

Well about 125 or so miles again today but took about 5 hours to do it just couldn't stop well stopping on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
You know I have seen some thing in my life that I consider beautiful, topping the list is seeing my babies for the first time and seeing them set in my wife's arms was simply well lets just say it was just Love personified.
I have seen my son graduate college my other son graduate high school. My sister graduate and even gave my sister away at her weeding. (what a honor) I have seen things traveling on my trips. I went on a long bike trip when I was just a kid but never took it all in like today. Jehovah is just amazing he gave us all of this!!!!!!! Look at the mountains they are a thing of beauty they took millions upon millions of years to complete and they are sitting there for us to enjoy. And enjoy James and I have. This is shear beauty god given beauty. North Carolina was nice enough to put a road through it so we can enjoy wow. Let me tell you its 70 or so miles from Cherokee, Nc. to Asheville, Nc but it took us hours to get to Asheville. I just couldn't help but to stop and see the sites. People were so nice truly they would come up and start talking to me and James about the bikes the sites everything. No thought of keeping to themselves. We met a  guy from St. Augustine Fl he was on a BMW R1100S (I think) he just bought it in New Mexico he went up through Co then came across Kansas at 110+ temps to get to the Blue Ridge he said that he likes these mountains better than Co??? I don't know I think I am just going to have to go see for myself but I digress. He came into the mountains was supposed to be home tomorrow but said he was having to good of a time and wasn't going to make it. Nice. Anyway it was only about 75 degrees today when moving but the sun is so hot at 5k feet still got burned (more sunscreen tomorrow). I know its obscene but I took 175 photos today and about 7 videos (digital doesnt count you can take 6k on my camera setting) I took so many my finger got tired. The videos were of the tunnels it was just so cool, your completely sun blind then go into a tunnel can't see a thing except the light at the end of the tunnel no pun intended... The sun is just bursting at the other end. Will have to write more later have to figure out where to go next. Jim

James just hit 6000 miles we had to get a photo

Hope you enjoy the photos as much as i did taking them.

We went about 120 miles today nice little ride lots and lots of twistys great roads really good lunch.

We went to Krambones for lunch and the BBQ sandwich was bigger than Daves Bologna sandwich (sorry for all of you that have no clue what that is Dave ordered a bologna sandwich and it was a inch thick piece) look at the tire above you see the line about a half inch from the edge that is how hard we are cornering.
We went on the Cherohala Skyway it was awsome just plain and simple awsome i know this seems a bit redundant but cornering is the best it's amazing to wear out the edges of the tires not the center.
If you want to look this up we went 143 (Cherohala Skyway) west to Tellico Plains what a ride you can see the mountains in the above then stoped in Tellico thats where we stopped for lunch. There was also a really nice motorcycle that had about 1/2 million dollars of inventory of all sportbike appearal wow now why would I like that?
Then we got on 68 down to 294 back to 129 north we stopped in Murphy NC. was a small town but everything was closed as it is Sunday who would have thought? We got back to the hotel about 5pm.
This photo is for Dave. With his love for bears. See the bottom sheet of paper.

Well 225 miles today when further than we wanted to but we got to the dragon... Wow I know this is a pretty lame thing to say but wow if you like to do twistys that's all that's here. You can ride it fast but unless you know it well and all other traffic is stopped you cant ride it to fast or you take your life into you own hands. That being said everyone that like to ride should come and do the area not just the gap the area the ride here was great except for the heat. I will put more tomorrow we are staying in the area for a couple days and i'm sleepy tonight.
Yes we were tired just through everything everywhere.
had to get this photo look how tired James looks
James running down the highway
Saw it and couldnt miss it
